About the Course
It's time to get your hands dirty and forge a mono-steel Chef Knife! During this multi-day class you'll complete all of the following steps and leave with a finished knife to use in your kitchen!
Day 1:
Forge the blade shape
Grind the blade profile
Normalize and heat treat the blade
I will temper it overnight for you to increase blade toughness 💪🏽
Day 2:
Grind and hand sand your blade to final dimensions and finish
Yes, this includes test cuts on food to make sure it'll perform well!
Mill/Drill and prepare your handle, then attach it to the blade with epoxy
The epoxy will set overnight, as we use high grade, long lasting stuff!
Day 3:
Grind and hand sand the handle
Finish the blade and handle with food-safe products
Sharpen the blade and enjoy your newest food-slaying kitchen weapon!
